DERAI PROBASHI KOLLAN PORISHOD was established in 2010, and is a non-profit organisation. We set up ambitious aims and objectives in our constitution to serve the local community as well as people from Derai living in the United Kingdom and the people living in Derai Bangladesh.

  1. To built a strong relationship amongst people from Derai living in the UK through organising social, recreational, sporting and educational activities.
  2. Advancing education in the UK and in Derai Bangladesh, through encouraging and providing financial support for the poor and needy children to achieve better standard of basic education.
  3. Providing in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare including health and helping people who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their condition of life.
  4. Building unity and amity by organising social events such as annual family gathering, family outing, and activities for youth and children.
  5. Working with similar organisations in partnership to develop community cohesion and unity.

A charity organisation like “DERAI PROBASHI KOLLAN PORISHOD” works for the community without any compensation. All managing committee members are volunteers. They share their time, knowledge, skill, experience and ideas for the community here in Uk and in Derai Bangladesh for the poor and needy to make a positive impact in their living style. We believe in team work, unity, honesty and modesty.

DERAI PROBASHI KOLLAN PORISHOD ( Oldham UK ) works actively to promote heritage and culture by facilitating and organising events that reflects inheritance values for new generations to learn.

We have the capability and we are passionate to turn negativity into inspiring dreams for our future, Therefore, we are committed, transparent and determined to fulfil our inspirational aims and objects that specified in our constitution, Hence, we need support and encouragement from the people of Derai and our well-wishers to strengthen our beloved organisation so that we can work to the best of our ability.
